Plans annual conference and recommends conference agenda;
Invites and administers all logistics for vendors/exhibitors;
Oversees conference logistics (conference location, registration, social activities);
Manages abstract submittal and selection process;
Coordinates with Secretary and Treasurer to ensure conference plans are within the budget;
Ensures that the membership is fully and dully notified of the conference.

Shares new information on technical issues associated with floodplain management with members;
Develops and shares new ideas and technology about emerging issues with members;
Develops and updates the RIFMA web site.
- Professional Training Committee Chair: Carissa Lord - ESS Group Inc, (401.434.5560)
Develops RIFMA programs and training activities;
Identifies training needs, audiences and who will deliver the training;
Provide issue specific training for professional engineers, surveyors, architect, planners,
floodplain managers, and other floodplain stakeholders.
- Public Outreach and Education Committee Chair: Dennis Charland - Charland Insurance (401.647.0500)
Coordinates with the Board of Directors and other RIFMA committees to keep members
informed of related activities and issues;
Develops, publishes and distributes the “Rhody Runnel” RIFMA’s quarterly newsletter;
Disseminates Conference and Training notifications.
